Join us at Sawyers Arms Tavern on Sunday afternoons for $2.50 oysters - served either natural or kilpatrick. These fresh salty snacks will be available with purchase of a drink, til sold out. Oysters on Sundays will be offered from 3pm - 5pm, or until sold out.

A weekend Christmas Celebration Lunch at Sawyers Arms Tavern is the perfect way to mark the end of 2023!

Each meal includes a three-point lamb rack with all the trimmings, followed by Christmas pudding along with a festive bon bon. $55pp.

Our $60 lunch set menu includes a choice of chicken or barramundi, along with a cheese grazing board to finish.

Now that the weather is warming up, Sawyers Arms Tavern has extended the kitchen hours to offer All Day Dining. From 12pm onward, you can pop in to the hotel and be assured of a great menu. From snacks through to beef cheek, there’s something for everyone, all day!

Sawyer’s Arm Tavern, one of Geelong’s oldest pubs, changed hands in 2022 after more than 60 years with the Clatworthy family, gaining new custodians in the Upham family.

The iconic Newtown hotel affectionately known as ‘Clats’ retains its family-owned credentials. New owner Paul Upham said, “We have always been frequent visitors of the Sawyers Arms and our families have had an affiliation for many years., We really want to invite people to become part of the fabric of the pub. While Sawyers Arms Tavern is a classic local watering hole, we also want to offer a new culinary experience in refined pub food”.
